Role Overview

This role entails overseeing the comprehensive process of Group Health Insurance policy issuance and endorsement activities. Responsibilities include ensuring precision in premium calculations, adherence to underwriting standards, and delivering services within stipulated timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end policy issuance including validation of underwriting approvals, setting sum insured structures, age band pricing, family definitions, negotiated rates, loadings, discounts, and tax applications.
• Ensure accurate generation and distribution of policy schedules, insurance certificates, and associated documentation within defined turnaround times.
• Coordinate effectively with underwriting, sales, finance, IT, TPA teams, brokers, corporate HR, bancassurance partners, and agency channels.
• Administer all endorsement types such as member additions, deletions, sum insured corrections, member detail updates, and adjustment or refund cases.
• Perform pro-rata premium calculations for member changes, validate financial impacts, apply underwriting loadings, and ensure approvals for refund endorsements adhere to policies and underwriting rules.
• Enforce rigorous data validation including verification of date of birth, age, relationship mapping, duplicate member checks, sum insured, gender confirmation, and premium reconciliation to maintain error-free processing.
• Maintain audit readiness through proper documentation and system updates ensuring compliance and quality control.
• Engage actively with brokers, corporate HR teams, bancassurance, and agencies to clarify policy terms, manage premium disputes, resolve escalations, and provide service updates.
• Collaborate internally with underwriting, sales, operations, claims, and finance departments to ensure seamless workflows and meet service level agreements.
• Monitor and manage turnaround times for policy issuance and endorsements, maintain daily trackers, address pending cases, and ensure adherence to service standards.
• Compile MIS reports including issuance and endorsement volumes, premium variances, productivity, and error ratio monitoring.
