Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking a mechanically inclined Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team in Coventry, Warwickshire. This full-time role involves working day shifts from Monday to Friday with early finish on Fridays, maintaining custom production machinery such as thermoformers, blow molding machines, lathes, milling machines, bandsaws, and conveyors.
Working Hours and Benefits
- Day shifts Monday to Friday: 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm, with an earlier 2:45pm finish on Fridays
- No weekend work required
- Extensive opportunities for both internal and external training including potential evening courses for electrical or mechanical City & Guilds qualifications
- Possibility to obtain IPAF license and other certifications
- Annual performance bonus of 5% of salary, consistently awarded for the past 5 years
Responsibilities
The role entails maintaining and repairing bespoke production machinery. Your tasks will focus on ensuring smooth operation and minimizing downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment including thermoformers, blow molding machines, machine tools, and conveyors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Mechanical bias preferred, but candidates from diverse backgrounds will be considered
- Experience with machine tools or skills in fabrication, welding, milling, turning, and refurbishments are advantageous
- Ability to interpret mechanical schematics and drawings is essential
