Logistics Officer

About the Role

The Logistics Officer will be responsible for overseeing the inbound and outbound logistics operations alongside inventory management. The role requires continuous coordination with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless shipping and delivery processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt of goods into the warehouse, monitor inventory levels, and report any damaged items.
• Conduct purchase transactions and share forwarder invoices with the finance department.
• Oversee outbound activities related to customer orders and shipments.
• Follow up with clearing and forwarding agents to ensure shipments meet turnaround time standards.
• Arrange and coordinate transportation for delivering shipments to destinations.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers.
• Collaborate with service and warehouse teams to facilitate smooth shipment execution.
• Work with clearing agents and customs officials to optimize process efficiency and quality.
• Verify customs documents required for exports and ownership transfers.
• Manage warehouse stock movements utilizing the warehouse management system and ERP platform.
• Perform monthly stock audits and ensure accurate recordings within ERP and CRM systems.
• Coordinate with planning, finance, service, and credit teams to manage invoicing for customer orders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a closely related discipline.
• Have between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management roles.
