Logistics Coordinator

Overview

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing daily operations related to manufacturing and logistics within a 24/7 environment. This role requires flexibility to work primarily in the evenings and weekends, with variable hours depending on business demands. Training schedules may differ and once trained, the expected shift will typically be from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., though changes may occur based on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and confirm orders within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy of pricing and product availability.
• Plan and schedule manufacturing activities at specified chemical plants.
• Organize shipments to guarantee delivery meets promised deadlines.
• Allocate shipments to suitable carriers.
• Support customers, field teams, carriers, and colleagues by addressing order-related questions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve challenges within manufacturing and logistics processes.
• Perform additional duties connected to manufacturing and logistics as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities and customer service orientation.
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
• Effective time management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.
• Capable analytical and problem-solving aptitudes.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
• Experience and proficiency using ERP systems.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification under CFR 49 is advantageous.
• Preferably 1 to 2 years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Mandatory 1 to 2 years of bulk hazardous materials shipping background.
• Experience with ISO tank shipments is a beneficial addition.
• Export shipping experience is a plus but not mandatory.
