Scope
The role is centred on delivering a professional freight forwarding service to customers, providing solutions and processing customer orders in line with customer requirements and procedures, while following PSA BDP ethics.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a high level of customer support by answering queries, solving problems, and building strong client relationships.
- Handle ocean export LCL and FCL shipments end to end.
- Ensure orders and related documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Work in line with SOPs and keep them updated where needed.
- Submit VGM through CNS and Destin8.
- Prepare complete export paperwork and issue pre-alerts within agreed KPI timelines.
- Submit AMS, ACI, and ISF for relevant shipments.
- Send EDI bookings and shipping instructions to carriers.
- Provide quotations for FCL and LCL shipments when requested.
- Coordinate several shipments at once while maintaining accuracy and deadline compliance.
- Resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Record and report non-conformances in line with KPI expectations.
- Maintain compliance with international shipping rules, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements.
- Meet month-end financial deadlines for accruals and sales invoicing.
Requirements
- More than 3 years of hands-on experience in logistics and freight forwarding operations, regulations, and documentation.
- Strong working knowledge of customs processes, dangerous goods handling, and both LCL and FCL shipments.
- Experience with customs entries would be beneficial.
- Good attention to detail.
- Well-developed organisational ability.
- Clear communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Accurate and reliable data entry skills.
