Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and client-focused Local Site Support Engineer to join our team. This position serves as the frontline technical support within the office environment, ensuring all users have effective access to necessary technology and maintaining operational continuity across hardware and network systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve common technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices including Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
- Efficiently set up and dismantle corporate technology assets such as laptops and phones.
- Provide temporary replacement devices to minimize work interruptions.
- Offer attentive and clear assistance to users with varying technical knowledge.
- Collaborate with advanced support teams for escalations beyond level 1 capabilities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot office network services including printing, Wi-Fi, voice systems, and digital platforms.
- Install and configure network devices such as routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points; help maintain security for core systems like firewalls and DNS.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues swiftly, including wireless and LAN-related problems.
- Support and maintain smart office technologies with basic setup and troubleshooting.
- Assist in managing phone systems (PABX) in coordination with remote specialists.
- Handle printer lifecycle management from installation to decommissioning.
- Set up and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment in partnership with specialists for meetings and events.
- Deploy and maintain office monitors during upgrades or moves.
- Attend onsite during scheduled maintenance or urgent technical incidents.
- Liaise with external vendors to ensure timely repairs and replacements.
- Document incidents and solutions thoroughly to aid knowledge sharing.
- Guide third-party technicians securely through restricted areas while ensuring compliance.
- Support internal and external audits including SOX compliance through diligent record keeping and communication.
- Manage hardware inventory including logging, labeling, testing, secure storage, and deployment preparation.
- Execute hardware asset management tasks such as standardized OS imaging, inventory auditing, secure device wiping, and warranty repair coordination.
- Support offsite tape backups where applicable.
- Assist with office moves, desk relocations, and hardware refresh projects with careful planning to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical support during business events such as demonstrations or leadership meetings as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum education requirement: high school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in IT or computer science preferred.
- 1 to 2 years experience in IT support, helpdesk, or workplace infrastructure roles.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or related credentials are appreciated but not mandatory.

- Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

- Strong asset management capabilities including setup, lifecycle management, tagging, and inventory systems.
- Meticulous and reliable, especially regarding compliance, audits, and management of sensitive information.
- Team player with a cooperative approach working closely with internal teams, external vendors, and facility personnel.
