About the Role

The Palawan @ Sentosa, located on Palawan Beach in Sentosa Island, is Shangri-La Group’s first independent lifestyle and entertainment destination. Built to extend the brand’s hospitality beyond hotel stays, the venue combines beachside leisure, dining, and family-friendly experiences in a vibrant setting.

This destination features a range of attractions, including electric go-karting, beach mini golf, and both family-oriented and adults-only beach club concepts. The team is focused on creating enjoyable and memorable experiences for guests.

Role Overview

The lifeguard will be responsible for maintaining safety across swimming and recreational areas, responding quickly to hazards, and supporting a secure environment for all visitors.

Key Duties

• Keep watch over swimming and activity areas so that possible dangers and emergency situations are identified and handled without delay.
• Apply safety rules and security procedures to safeguard guests and other visitors.
• Carry out rescue actions and give first aid when required.
• Speak with guests in a clear, respectful, and helpful manner to encourage a safe and pleasant experience.
• Record incidents accurately and ensure they are reported and managed professionally and on time.
• Work closely with fellow team members to preserve a safe, orderly, and welcoming atmosphere.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should hold a valid Bronze Medallion certificate and be prepared to carry out lifeguard responsibilities safely and effectively. A genuine interest in sports and recreation is important, along with strong guest service abilities, initiative, and the ability to notice and respond to safety or service issues proactively.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore at The Palawan @ Sentosa.
