Role overview
This opening is for an Associate in a leveraged finance team based in Frankfurt. The position sits within a well-established global investment banking platform with a strong footprint in the European leveraged finance market. The work covers a varied range of acquisition financings, refinancing assignments, recapitalisations, and sponsor-led transactions.
What you will do
- Assist with the end-to-end execution of leveraged finance deals across the DACH region and broader European markets.
- Prepare, update, and assess financial models, credit papers, and client-facing presentation materials.
- Coordinate with private equity sponsors, corporate clients, and internal product specialists throughout transaction work.
- Contribute to deal structuring, due diligence review, and documentation workflows.
- Work on a pipeline that includes both mid-market and large-cap transactions, gaining broad exposure to the space.
Candidate profile
- Prior experience of 2 to 4 years in leveraged finance, debt advisory, acquisition finance, private credit, or a closely related investment banking function.
- Solid capability in financial modelling and credit analysis.
- Strong command of both German and English, at native or fluent level.
- A bachelor’s or master’s qualification from a top-tier university.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment driven by live transactions.
