Role Opportunity
As part of the Transport & Infrastructure Training & Compliance team, the Learning Coordinator will oversee the administration and coordination of numerous learning programs across New Zealand. This high-volume role demands multitasking, strong organizational skills, and adaptability to shifting priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end training coordination, including data uploads and support for Transport & Infrastructure teams nationwide
- Work collaboratively with a geographically dispersed team to support training, compliance, and capability initiatives
- Maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders adhering to Downer’s standards
- Handle financial tasks such as purchase orders, invoice processing, and onboarding vendors into finance systems
- Assist managers in maintaining up-to-date skills and competencies of their team members
- Regularly update and manage the Learning Management System (LMS)
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Intermediate proficiency with Excel, including working confidently with data, reports, and spreadsheets
- Experience in fast-paced administrative or coordination roles with meticulous attention to detail
- Familiarity with learning and training administration, particularly through Learning Management Systems
- Good problem-solving capabilities and composure under changing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration across New Zealand
- A collaborative mindset that fosters positive team dynamics
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and take ownership of assigned tasks
