About the Role
A renewable energy development company is seeking a Land Acquisition Manager to support and expand its portfolio in Germany, including Berlin, Leipzig, and the Saxony region. The key focus of this position is to identify and secure greenfield sites for onshore wind and solar projects throughout Germany. Collaborating closely with the Country Manager and Business Development teams, the successful candidate will be instrumental in growing the company’s project pipeline by engaging directly with landowners, farmers, municipalities, and other key local stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Locate and secure appropriate greenfield locations suitable for renewable energy initiatives.
- Build and sustain relationships with landowners, farmers, municipal officials, and other community stakeholders.
- Lead land lease and land-use agreement negotiations.
- Conduct site inspections and support project origination activities nationwide within Germany.
- Coordinate with internal teams involved in development, permitting, and engineering.
- Represent the company at public forums, informational sessions, and stakeholder consultations.
- Keep detailed records of negotiations and potential project opportunities.
Requirements
- Prior experience in land acquisition, business development, sales, real estate, or renewable energy project development.
- Proven ability to negotiate effectively and cultivate strong professional relationships.
- Confidence in engaging with agricultural landowners, farmers, and municipal representatives.
- Self-driven with aptitude for independent work.
- Fluent proficiency in German is a must.
- Willingness to travel across Germany as needed.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
