Serving as the foundation of our restaurant operations, the Kitchen Staff position at Rustys Bar B Q offers an entry point with opportunities for growth, starting from dishwashing progressing to food preparation and beyond. The role demands efficiency, strict adherence to hygiene standards, and adaptability in handling various kitchen tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently clean, sanitize, and restock dishes in compliance with sanitation standards.
- Dispose of kitchen waste by transporting trash to the dumpster when necessary.
- Prepare a diverse range of foods to support kitchen needs while maintaining consistent quality.
- Adhere to food usage protocols guided by regulatory requirements.
- Keep the food preparation environment clean and sanitary to prevent contamination.
- Report any food-related issues such as shortages or spoilage to management promptly.
Skills and Abilities
- Competence in preparing numerous food items with consistent speed and quality.
- Effective prioritization of daily tasks, including order fulfillment and cleaning responsibilities.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods exceeding four hours and lift weights up to 50 pounds.
