About the Role

Holiday Inn Coventry is seeking a diligent Kitchen Porter dedicated to ensuring the kitchen environment remains spotless and well-organized. This position involves close cooperation with chefs and kitchen staff to facilitate efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, mopping, and wiping surfaces.
• Support chefs by helping in ingredient preparation and basic cooking tasks.
• Properly handle and store food following safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor kitchen inventory levels and report shortages to management.
• Coordinate with kitchen team to ensure timely and quality food preparation and delivery.
• Adhere to safety guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
• Manage waste disposal and promote recycling practices.

Working Hours and Flexibility

The establishment operates every day of the year and requires employees to work various shifts across a 5-day, 40-hour week. Evening and weekend shifts tend to be busier, and shift patterns can be arranged during interviews to accommodate flexibility.
