Job Overview
This position is responsible for managing and supervising Air Arabia's stores inventory operations, overseeing the receipt, storage, and release of tools, equipment, and spare parts essential for maintaining Air Arabia and third-party aircraft. All work must comply with the company’s policies and relevant regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain adequate stock levels for daily-use items and routine maintenance parts, including toolboxes, kits, wheels, batteries, and oils.
- Ensure availability and timely delivery of components and tools needed for maintenance activities to support aircraft safety and readiness.
- Conduct daily inspections of storage areas to guarantee proper environmental conditions (temperature, humidity), safety, and hazard controls.
- Allocate tools and parts following directions from the line manager or AOG desk, manage replacement of consumables, and update inventory systems accordingly.
- Prepare the system in advance to ensure timely retrieval of parts for ADD/MDD requirements.
- Issue toolboxes, kits, and spare parts in alignment with scheduled maintenance plans for Air Arabia’s routine aircraft servicing.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a serviceable condition, reporting any unserviceable items to the Rotables Team.
- Keep accurate records in the AMOS system, tracking received and stored parts, accounting for material shelf life, tool calibration, shift handovers, and critical movements as per agreed protocols.
- Ensure unused issued parts are correctly credited back and returned to main inventory following established procedures.
- Assist the line manager in upholding safety standards, facility maintenance, cleanliness, storage conditions, and communication effectiveness.
- Provide inventory support to Air Arabia and third-party aircraft operations as needed.
- Compile regular stock reports, identify system errors, determine root causes, and suggest corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or certificate in relevant fields with appropriate experience accepted; bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferred.
- Strong proficiency with technology systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high accuracy.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Valid driving license for the assigned location.
Experience and Additional Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar stores or inventory role within the aviation sector; experience with low-cost carriers is advantageous.
- Familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of civil aviation regulations governing acceptance, storage, and issuance of technical spare parts and equipment for aircraft maintenance.
- Completion of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations training is beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proven ability to manage resources cost-effectively and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, dependable, enthusiastic, and takes initiative.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and remain focused on results.
- Physically capable of handling heavy equipment and moving between different store locations.
- Demonstrates the capacity to deliver on business objectives and meet defined KPIs.
