This hub focuses on anticipating and designing the future of the bank’s information systems, partnering with core banking flagship projects and transversal areas, delivering top-tier banking applications that provide a durable market edge.

Department and Role

The Capital Markets IT division handles technology solutions essential to financial market functions such as trading, investment, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Their scope includes electronic trading platforms, risk systems, algorithmic trading, data analysis, and the adoption of advanced technologies like APIs, AI, and cloud solutions to boost efficiency and decision-making.

This department is responsible for maintaining and developing Capital Market IT applications worldwide, including Front Office systems (Murex, Apex, Orchestrade), Back Office tools (Summit, Calypso), market data references (Asset Control), and market risk applications leveraging big data technologies. The Foreign Exchange (FX) IT segment supports and accelerates the complete business value chain.

We are searching for a motivated Software Engineer with a strong programming background to contribute to this dynamic department through design, development, testing, debugging, and deployment of software solutions tailored to end users.

Main Duties

Conduct research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs, applying computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles.
Analyze user requirements to create suitable software; identify and resolve organization-wide issues ensuring long-term benefits.
Recognize security vulnerabilities, define security requirements, and perform threat modeling to meet coding security standards.
Oversee software configuration management plans and supervise software build, verification, and deployment phases.
Offer technical guidance and support for quality assurance teams during testing phases.
Upgrade existing software features and design, implement software testing and validation procedures.
Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to integrate software solutions within infrastructure constraints, whether on-premises or cloud-based, ensuring alignment with performance and specification demands.
Engage in proof-of-concept activities for emerging technologies through research and development.
Leverage programming expertise to automate routine tasks by creating custom tools and scripts.
Develop scripts and automation utilities utilizing Python, shell scripting, and other basic programming languages to enhance operational efficiency.
Keep current with industry trends, cutting-edge technologies, and regulatory developments pertaining to capital markets.

Qualifications and Profile

Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience programming in Java.
Proficient in UNIX platforms and database management systems, including SQL, Oracle, Sybase, and Big Data technologies.
Exposure to tools such as Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, Kafka, Confluence, Jira, GitLab, and MQ Series is advantageous.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and related services.
Experience in DevOps toolchains including Git, Maven/Gradle/NuGet/Ansible, Jenkins, and Sonar.
Knowledge and experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Database experience specifically with Oracle and Sybase.
Competence in developing microservices architectures.
