Junior Python Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and meticulous Junior Python / PySpark Developer to join our data engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to creating, maintaining, and enhancing data pipeline processes with a focus on Python and PySpark technologies, collaborating with senior team members and stakeholders to support analytics and data-centric solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, and sustaining Python-based applications and data pipelines.
• Utilize Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy to perform data analysis, transformation, and validation tasks.
• Contribute to the processing of large datasets using PySpark under guidance from senior engineers.
• Produce clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python.
• Identify and resolve issues in batch processing and data workflows.
• Engage in code reviews and uphold best practices related to performance and data management.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including data engineering, quality assurance, and DevOps.

Required Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience within the Financial Services sector.
• Intermediate proficiency in an Application Development role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated consistently.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Capability to work efficiently under pressure while managing deadlines and adapting to changing requirements.

Educational Background

• Bachelor's or university degree, or an equivalent level of experience.
