Junior Graphic Designer

Overview

We are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our in-house creative team at Footasylum. This role is based at our dedicated content creation studio located at The Sharp Project in Manchester. As part of a dynamic team of producers, photographers, art directors, stylists, and marketing professionals, you will contribute to the design of content for Footasylum's own brands as well as international sportswear and streetwear labels.

Team Environment

Embedded within the wider Marketing Department, the studio team collaborates closely with Head Office and other departments. The fast-paced environment includes diverse tasks ranging from daily eCommerce shoots to major campaigns and in-store activations focused on creativity, teamwork, and connecting meaningfully with our customers.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates may be recent design graduates or individuals new to the design industry with a strong portfolio seeking to advance their careers. A passion for graphic design, eagerness to learn, and an enthusiasm for working on varied creative projects are essential. Key strengths include an excellent eye for layout, typography, and visual communication, alongside a commitment to improving skills across print and digital media.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within the graphic design team to produce creative assets for both print and digital platforms.
• Manage day-to-day design briefs efficiently.
• Assist the Lead Graphic Designer and the broader team in campaign executions and significant business initiatives.
• Create artwork tailored for online channels and physical store environments.
• Prepare precise artwork files suitable for print and digital usage.
• Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines in all creative outputs.
• Contribute innovative ideas and solutions during project developments.
• Effectively organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Stay informed about design trends and youth culture developments.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Firm grasp of design basics including layout, typography, and hierarchical structure.
• Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong organizational abilities.
• Capability to juggle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Deep interest in design, streetwear, and youth culture.
• Robust portfolio demonstrating creativity and potential.
• Confidence in adhering to brand guidelines.

Additional Information

This position is not fully remote; candidates are expected to work in a hybrid model, regularly attending both the studio and Head Office in Greater Manchester.
