Junior Data Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Junior Data Analyst to join our team full-time. This position suits recent graduates or professionals at the early stages of their career who have a strong interest in data handling, trend analysis, and delivering insightful business intelligence to aid decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Gather, cleanse, validate, and organize data from diverse sources to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Examine datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights for business improvement.
• Create routine reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for both stakeholders and management.
• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of business intelligence reports and key performance metrics.
• Support data-driven strategic decisions by offering insightful analysis and recommendations.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators to assess business performance continuously.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to bolster operations, finance, marketing, and strategy-related initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand report requirements and business objectives.
• Ensure data integrity and adherence to data governance standards throughout processes.
• Help automate reporting and enhance data collection and reporting methodologies.
• Document data sources, analysis methods, and reporting protocols accurately.
• Stay informed about current data analytics tools, methods, and industry trends.

Requirements

• Fundamental understanding of data analysis, statistics, and reporting frameworks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data manipulation techniques.
• Basic familiarity with SQL for extracting and querying data is preferred.
• Experience or exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Python, R, or similar analytics programming languages is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on critical thinking and problem solving.
• Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to ensuring data accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for presenting findings clearly to various audiences.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred educational background includes a bachelor's degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
