DeVry Greenhouses is a leading wholesale provider of bedding plants and nursery trees across North America. Our Data team is crucial in driving informed decisions behind shipments, forecasts, and sales. We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst who supports our values of ownership, collaboration, humility, and continuous improvement. This position involves partnering with Sales and other departments to craft insightful reporting solutions, streamline workflows, and foster impactful business insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytic tools.
• Convert complex datasets into actionable business intelligence aiding decision-making.
• Manage product and sales data integrity, including part code creation for various retail clients.
• Collaborate with Sales and other teams to address business challenges through data analytics.
• Automate recurring reports and optimize business processes.
• Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality benchmarks.
• Document workflows and establish standardized procedures to enhance team productivity.
• Identify and implement improvements employing automation, AI, machine learning, and analytics enhancements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields.
• Strong analytical aptitude to translate data into meaningful insights.
• Keen interest in data science with a commitment to ongoing learning.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information to non-experts.
• Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Technical Competencies

• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel, including Power Query.
• Solid SQL expertise.
• Experience in building reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and DAX.
• Ability to handle large datasets ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation is beneficial.
• Familiarity with AI tools for enhancing efficiency and quality is an asset.

• Competitive wage starting from 26 dollars per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
