Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team in Ottawa for weekend shifts from 7 am to 3 pm and 3 pm to 11 pm. This position is essential for creating outstanding customer experiences and ensuring high standards of cleanliness.

Key Duties

• Dusting or wiping down check-in counters
• Emptying and cleaning waste baskets at check-in counters
• Spot cleaning walls, partitions, light switches, doors, and window sills
• Polishing chrome and other metallic surfaces
• Cleaning reachable partition glass
• Dusting baseboards and lower air vents
• Damp mopping small hard surface floor areas
• Vacuuming as assigned
• Cleaning underneath and around toilets and urinals

Qualifications

• Experience with floor care equipment is an advantage but not mandatory; ability to use autoscrubber is beneficial
• Ability to operate cleaning machines and equipment is a plus
• Effective communication skills with supervisors, clients, and the general public
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds
• WHMIS certification (training is provided if needed)
• Must pass a clear criminal record check
