Position Details

Full-time Day Porter role
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Pay rate: $13 per hour
Weekly compensation

Key Duties

Maintain cleanliness of floor surfaces through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
Handle chemical cleaners and power equipment cautiously to protect floors and other surfaces
Clean and upkeep restrooms, meeting areas, hallways, and entrances
Disposal of trash; operate compactors when necessary
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with suitable materials and tools
Spot clean carpets and assist with extraction and shampooing processes
Refill paper goods and sanitary supplies as needed
Adhere to the housekeeping schedule
Operate heavy cleaning machinery, including floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers when required
Perform additional tasks as assigned by job scope or client requirements

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, or at least 6 months of relevant janitorial experience
Willingness to learn and undergo on-the-job training
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions accurately

Preferred Qualifications

Previous janitorial or cleaning experience
Knowledge of custodial methods and commercial cleaning standards
Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing
Background in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance
