Role Summary

The Ops Engineer is charged with maintaining uninterrupted operations and support for staff and systems.

Key Accountabilities

• Managing company assets including procurement and control of hardware.
• Developing automation scripts for tasks such as workstation setup and device management.
• Delivering technical support to staff across multiple locations using tools like Slack and Zoom.
• Ensuring all workstations adhere to established security protocols.
• Overseeing maintenance of the cloud-based accounting platform.
• Authoring clear instructional documentation for internal users.

Candidate Profile

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Academic background in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Competence administering both Windows and MacOS environments.
• Working knowledge or practical experience scripting with PowerShell or Bash.
• Basic familiarity with Linux system administration tasks including server access, log analysis, configuration adjustments, and service restarts.
• Experience or knowledge of continuous integration servers such as GitHub, GitLab, or TeamCity.
• Understanding of Microsoft cloud infrastructure (license management and Azure) and AWS platforms.
• Proficient English communication skills at B2/C1 level, ideally conversational, primarily via Slack with some phone interaction.
• Prompt responsiveness to operational requests.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT to enhance automation and efficiency.

Technology Environment

• JumpCloud for user and machine management without reliance on Active Directory.
• Windows 11 and MacOS workstations.
• Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Version control with GitHub, infrastructure management using Terraform.
• Management portals including MS 365 Center, Google Workspace, and Conductor One.
