IT Specialist

Role Overview

Salayel Hospitality is looking for a proactive and technically adept IT Specialist to oversee and maintain the IT infrastructure that supports its hospitality operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth system functioning, safeguarding data, and providing technology assistance within hotel and serviced apartment settings, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver daily IT support services.
• Install, set up, and maintain hardware, software, servers, and network equipment.
• Quickly identify and resolve issues related to systems, networks, POS, PMS, and applications.
• Provide support for hospitality-specific systems including PMS, POS, access control, CCTV, Wi-Fi, and telephony.
• Uphold data security standards through backups, antivirus management, and ensuring system compliance.
• Continuously monitor system performance and address any downtime or connectivity problems.
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers for IT maintenance and enhancements.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset inventories, and standard operating procedures.
• Assist with IT aspects of new property launches, system upgrades, and technology deployments.
• Educate staff on basic IT functions, cyber security awareness, and best practices for system use.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Have 2 to 5 years of experience in IT support roles, with preference for hospitality or multi-site environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in Windows operating systems, networking (LAN/WAN), servers, and hardware issue resolution.
• Experience with hospitality systems like PMS and POS is highly valued.
• Fundamental understanding of cyber security principles, backup processes, and data protection.
• Capacity to support multiple locations and provide on-call assistance as needed.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation capabilities.
• Experience working in the UAE hospitality industry is an added advantage.
