Investment Development Associate

Job purpose

The person in this position will be accountable for shaping and leading the investment thesis for selected targets. This includes checking strategic fit, carrying out a high-level commercial review, outlining integration assumptions, and identifying likely value-creation opportunities in coordination with the investment strategy team. The work must be performed in line with the company’s approved policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Build and drive the central investment thesis for approved non-core investment ideas.
• Own the creation of business cases for transaction types other than M&A, such as build, joint venture, and spin-off structures.
• Partner with the M&A team on business cases related to acquisitions and divestments.
• Take the lead in engaging external partners for non-M&A transaction types, including build, joint venture, and spin-off opportunities.
• Work with the M&A team when dealing with target companies and oversee the virtual data room for M&A transactions.
• Define the most suitable deal structure, expected value-creation levers, and the integration hypothesis plan.
• Draft non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, and memoranda of understanding, then coordinate the wording with legal.
• Support the M&A team in preparing and submitting legal paperwork such as non-binding offers, binding offers, shareholder agreements, and similar documents.
• Coordinate with business units, clusters, and subsidiaries to align the investment thesis.
• Present the main investment thesis to senior leadership and committees to secure approval.

Experience

Applicants should have 4 to 6 years of experience, preferably in business development, sales, or customer service within the technology or telecommunications sector.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering is required. Certifications are listed as additional education.
