Role overview
ACL Partners is supporting the expansion of a Munich-based investment team for a specialist investor focused on energy transition and renewables. The platform has substantial capital to invest and a long-standing track record across wind, solar, and storage. The firm invests directly as principal and oversees the full transaction journey, from sourcing opportunities to exit.
Key responsibilities
- Run renewable energy and broader energy-transition deals from initial sourcing through completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models, valuation work, and return analyses such as LBO and DCF.
- Coordinate due diligence activities and manage third-party advisors throughout each transaction.
- Draft investment committee materials and communicate recommendations to decision-makers.
- Assist with portfolio oversight and initiatives that improve value across existing investments.
Candidate profile
- Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in renewables, energy transition, infrastructure investing, or related sector M&A/project finance advisory, ideally with a desire to move to the buy side.
- Proven capability in financial modelling, valuation, and transaction execution.
- Fluency in both German and English is required.
- Based in Munich or open to relocating there.
- Strong motivation and genuine interest in renewables and the energy transition.
