Role Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable and analytical Investment Analyst to bolster PsychPlus's acquisition initiatives across various healthcare entities and tech platforms. This pivotal role leads financial modeling and due diligence guiding acquisition decisions from initial screening to closure.

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance and Operations, the analyst will direct deal modeling and evaluation, collaborate across teams to evaluate targets, design deal structures, and assist in post-acquisition integration planning. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates financial expertise, and exhibits curiosity about operational factors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update complex financial models assessing acquisition targets, including forecasting revenue, expenses, and returns.
• Manage the analytical aspects of the acquisition process, from identifying prospects through valuation and deal formation.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence by collecting and analyzing financial, operational, and clinical data from prospective acquisitions.
• Create and sustain a detailed acquisition tracking system outlining pipeline progress, milestones, deal terms, and integration schedules.
• Collaborate with legal, clinical, and operational teams to evaluate risks, potential synergies, and integration considerations.
• Compose clear presentations and reports for leadership illustrating business rationale, financial implications, and strategic fit of deals.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and expansion opportunities in the U.S. mental health sector.
• Maintain consistent follow-ups with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deals progress smoothly and risks are identified early.
• Provide regular updates, highlight gaps, and offer recommendations to the Vice President and senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in financial analysis, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or related acquisition fields.
• Proven expertise in advanced financial modeling, including DCFs, LBOs, or similar transaction evaluations.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Meticulous attention to detail with ability to juggle several active deals concurrently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Self-driven with capability to manage responsibilities independently in a fast-paced remote setting.
• Availability to work full time aligned with U.S. Central Time (Houston).

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in healthcare mergers and acquisitions, especially involving clinics, physician groups, or health technology.
• Understanding of U.S. healthcare operations and post-deal integration.
• Experience with due diligence stages and deal execution.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, operational, and clinical departments.
• Personal or professional interest in mental or behavioral health.
