Investment Analyst

Role Overview

This part-time remote position as an Investment Analyst entails supporting investment decision-making processes related to training and development projects at the center. Responsibilities include conducting financial and market research, evaluating investment opportunities pertinent to the center's programs, and preparing detailed reports and presentations based on research findings. The analyst will develop and maintain financial models, evaluate risk-return profiles, and assist with portfolio monitoring and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out financial and market research relevant to the center’s initiatives.
• Analyze and assess investment opportunities for training development programs.
• Create and update financial models to assist in forecasting and valuation.
• Evaluate risk and return characteristics of investment options.
• Support portfolio monitoring activities and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure investment recommendations align with strategic goals and budgets.
• Contribute insights to optimize resource allocation for training projects.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong analytical capabilities for interpreting both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Sound understanding of finance and investment concepts to evaluate opportunities and associated risks.
• Experience with financial modeling for forecasting, valuation, and scenario planning.
• Portfolio management expertise to assist in overseeing and enhancing investment performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or closely related discipline; additional investment-focused education or certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet software and financial analysis tools, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex financial information.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity and effectively manage time.
• Familiarity with education, research environments, or the industrial/metallurgical sectors is advantageous.
