Each child benefits from a tailored behavior plan supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The organization also supports families as a whole, recognizing that family well-being contributes to the child’s success.

Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and well-organized Insurance and Billing Coordinator to join our expanding team in a fully remote capacity. This position primarily involves facilitating insurance authorization, handling billing procedures, and aiding in the admissions process to ensure uninterrupted ABA services for our clients. Candidates must reside in New Hampshire and be available during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits for both new and ongoing clients.
  • Prepare and submit insurance authorization requests and manage treatment plan documentation.
  • Keep insurance and authorization details current in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Coordinate billing processes by verifying that authorizations correspond with scheduled treatments.
  • Engage with insurance providers to clarify authorization procedures, benefits, and payer policies.
  • Investigate claim-related discrepancies and assist with billing documentation and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain precise records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Insurance & Billing Manager and clinical teams to promote timely and efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or an equivalent credential; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is advantageous.
  • At least one year of practical experience in medical billing, insurance verification, revenue cycle management, or healthcare administration.
  • Familiarity with commercial insurance and Medicaid processes preferred.
  • Prior experience in ABA therapy, behavioral health, or pediatric healthcare environments is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational aptitude and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and preferably experienced with Electronic Health Record systems, especially RethinkBH.

Desired Attributes

  • Highly organized and attentive to minute details.
  • Capable of managing various priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • A proactive thinker who approaches challenges with effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Reliable, professional, and dedicated to safeguarding confidential information.
  • Comfortable operating independently while engaging with a remote team.

Remote Work Requirements

  • Possess a dedicated and quiet professional workspace suitable for remote work.
  • Access to dependable high-speed internet.
  • Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and protect sensitive information in a remote setting.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an annual base salary of $65,000 with an opportunity to achieve up to a $10,000 performance-based bonus annually. Benefit package includes:

  • Comprehensive health coverage encompassing medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Retirement savings plan with 401k matching contributions.
  • Various life insurance options including basic, voluntary, and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage.
  • Family leave benefits for maternity and paternity.
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • Access to professional training and development programs.
