About the Role

The Milton, Ontario plant manufactures corrugated boxes for major global suppliers and is expanding. They seek a licensed Industrial Millwright 433A to join their maintenance team. The role involves preventive, predictive maintenance and troubleshooting production equipment under the Maintenance Manager’s supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose plant equipment issues thoroughly, identifying root causes and implementing long-term repair strategies.
• Respond promptly to equipment, facility, and building breakdowns, deciding between temporary and permanent fixes based on production time constraints.
• Maintain and administer preventative maintenance programs, including regular inspections and lubrication of all machinery.
• Operate and maintain boiler systems along with heating, steam, and energy supplies.
• Assist with minor electrical repairs and safely reset equipment as needed.
• Support installation and occasionally assist in designing plant equipment.
• Fabricate appropriate fits for various services, such as antifriction bearings.
• Safely handle heavy machinery and possess knowledge related to foundation work.
• Contribute to the development of the plant’s occupational health and safety initiatives.
• Support continuous 24/7 plant operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma.
• Certification as an Industrial Millwright 433A.
• Experience with electrical work is advantageous.
• 3-5 years of experience in Canadian manufacturing environments.
• Strong technical knowledge applicable to plant machinery.
• Proactive, positive attitude with strong initiative.
• Physically fit to meet job demands.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (4 days on / 4 days off, alternating day and night shifts).
