HR Generalist

The HR Generalist role within BSI's People team offers comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle in UAE or Qatar, serving as a pivotal HR contact for employees and managers. This position demands handling diverse HR functions such as onboarding, payroll coordination, employee relations, benefits management, and HR operations, while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and global policies within a matrix organization.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the main HR liaison for employees and managers in assigned countries.
• Manage complete HR operational processes including onboarding, contract amendments, benefits, leave management, payroll input coordination, and offboarding.
• Keep precise and up-to-date employee records and country-specific HR documentation.
• Offer frontline support and guidance concerning HR policies and employee lifecycle issues.
• Assist managers with ongoing people management and best practice compliance.
• Ensure monthly payroll activities proceed smoothly through coordination efforts.
• Support employee relations matters by identifying issues and escalating when necessary.
• Stay informed on local employment legislation to uphold compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Participate in regional and global HR initiatives such as leadership development and process improvements.
• Foster collaborative relationships within the People team and broader organization to enhance employee experience.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous process enhancements.
• Provide regular support and guidance to local HR administrators.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least five years of experience in HR generalist or operational roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and employee management frameworks.
• Proven experience operating within global or matrix organizations.
• Proficient with HR or Human Capital Management (HCM) systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• High professionalism, ethical standards, and confidentiality in managing sensitive data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgement.
• Fluency in business English and relevant local languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional HR certification or qualification.
• Experience supporting multiple countries or regions.
• Background working closely with employee relations teams.
• Involvement in HR transformation and process improvement initiatives.

Additional Information

This opportunity is available to Emirati nationals only if based in the UAE, requiring appropriate citizenship and unrestricted work rights; sponsorship or relocation is not provided. The role offers a competitive salary range of 181,500 to 242,000 AED (UAE) or 205,800 to 294,000 QAR (Qatar), commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
