Role Overview
We are seeking a Housekeeping Training Manager to be based full-time onsite in Kochi. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing comprehensive training programs for housekeeping professionals affiliated with Urban Company. The role includes creating structured curricula, practical training modules, and assessment procedures that emphasize cleaning techniques, safety protocols, usage of cleaning products, and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver classroom and hands-on training sessions for housekeeping staff.
- Monitor quality and performance metrics, providing consistent coaching and feedback to improve service delivery.
- Collaborate with operations and quality assurance teams to identify service gaps and update training content according to best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards applicable to housekeeping and home services.
- Maintain detailed training documentation and support certification processes for the professionals served.
- Contribute to ongoing efforts aimed at boosting service quality and customer satisfaction through continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive knowledge of professional cleaning methods, hygiene standards, and appropriate use of cleaning equipment and materials.
- Experience in instructional design, workshop facilitation, and practical skills training delivery.
- Ability to evaluate skill levels and leverage data-driven insights to optimize training effectiveness and uphold service quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited for engaging diverse learners and offering clear, constructive feedback.
- Effective organizational and time management skills to juggle various training sessions and maintain orderly documentation.
- Understanding of relevant health, safety, and hygiene norms governing housekeeping operations.
- Comfortable using digital tools such as presentation software, spreadsheets, and learning platforms.
- Background in housekeeping supervision, hospitality, facility management, or vocational training is highly advantageous.
- Educational credentials such as a diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Facility Management, Training and Development, or related fields preferred.
- Dedication to equitable and inclusive training practices, fostering a respectful and supportive learning environment for professionals from varied backgrounds.
