Housekeeper

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join the Baycroft Flitwick Care Home, a specialist care facility offering residential and dementia care with 75 rooms across three floors, located in Bedfordshire. Our home features luxury amenities including a cinema, library, hair salon, treatment room, gym, and landscaped gardens. As part of the Country Court Care family, which operates over 45 care homes with 3,300+ employees, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional 5-star care experiences.

Key Responsibilities

The Housekeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home. Responsibilities include ensuring residents' personal clothing and bedding are impeccably washed, pressed, and folded. Attention to detail is essential to identify and address any area that needs cleaning. Maintaining residents’ rooms to the highest standard of cleanliness and ensuring no surfaces are overlooked is a pivotal part of this role.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a proactive, passionate, and ambitious individual who can contribute to creating a person-centred environment for our residents. A friendly and caring approach with the ability to engage well with residents and their families is important. Prior experience as a housekeeper or laundry assistant is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity or understanding of the care sector is beneficial.

Working Conditions

The role requires 40 hours per week, with weekend shifts on a rota basis. Shift hours run from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
