Housekeeper

About the role

Compass Senior Living is looking for a Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, orderly, and welcoming environment in a senior living community in Roseburg, Oregon. This role supports the company’s goal of making elder care communities more vibrant, compassionate, and innovative.

This is a Monday through Friday position with working hours from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

What you will do

• Keep assigned spaces sanitary, attractive, organized, and safe by following established cleaning procedures and supervisor direction.
• Deliver strong customer service to both residents and team members.
• Clean resident apartments as well as shared community areas.
• Work according to the cleaning schedule and provided instructions.
• Follow infection-control practices, food-borne illness prevention steps, safe chemical-handling rules, and fire, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Send maintenance requests to the Maintenance Director when repairs are needed.
• Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions within the community.

What we are looking for

• A caring attitude and a genuine interest in working with older adults.
• Comfort working with people in emotional or stressful situations.
• Strong organization and the ability to juggle several priorities.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Good verbal communication skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who use English only.
• Ability to meet health requirements, including TB testing.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Capability to perform the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
