Role Overview
We are looking for a full-time, on-site Hostel Warden for our Jalandhar I campus. This role involves overseeing the efficient management and operation of hostel facilities, focusing on the safety, discipline, and welfare of resident students. Key duties include monitoring the premises, managing room assignments, liaising with housekeeping and maintenance teams, and promptly resolving student issues. Additionally, the warden enforces hostel regulations, maintains necessary records such as attendance and room allocation, collaborates with academic and administrative departments, and supports student pastoral care. The role also requires conducting regular meetings with residents and handling emergency situations and grievances.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in managing hostel or residential facilities, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective coordination with support staff.
- Strong skills in personnel management and conflict resolution, able to uphold discipline while creating a nurturing environment.
- Proficient communication and counseling abilities to engage with students, parents, and institutional authorities.
- Capable of maintaining organized records including attendance, room allotments, and documenting incidents.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols, security measures, and emergency response in a residential context.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and remain available for urgent issues, including staying on campus if necessary.
- Prior experience as a warden or similar supervisory position in an educational setting is preferred.
- Minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in any field; additional training in education, social work, or management is advantageous.
