Job Overview
Join the Silverchain Group team as a Home Care Worker and make a meaningful impact on the lives of elderly community members by supporting their independence and wellbeing. This full-time, onsite position based in Burnie, Tasmania, requires at least three months of similar professional experience in aged care.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing home help services to aged care clients such as general housekeeping, bed making, cleaning floors, and laundry tasks including washing, folding, and ironing.
- Assisting with meal preparation and grocery shopping.
- Delivering personal care including helping clients with getting out of bed, showering, dressing, medication assistance, mobility support, and therapy goal facilitation.
- Caring for clients with complex needs including those with dementia.
- Offering social and emotional support and transporting clients to appointments and lifestyle activities.
- Supporting family carers by providing respite care.
Candidate Profile
- Enjoyment of a dynamic and varied daily work routine.
- Passion for delivering high-quality care and building meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
- Ability to remain calm and professional despite challenges such as client mood or travel delays.
- Comfortable working independently while knowing when to seek managerial support.
- Possession of a valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured, and roadworthy vehicle.
- At least three months of experience in a related role with skills in personal care, manual handling, hoist operation, and medication administration.
