Head Baker

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head Baker to oversee all bakery operations at a prestigious luxury lifestyle hotel located in Doha, Qatar. This position demands a hands-on leader with exceptional technical knowledge in artisan baking and the capability to foster, guide, and manage a production team to uphold the highest culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all bakery production ensuring top quality, consistency, and visual appeal.
• Create and perfect offerings including bread, viennoiserie, and other baked goods aligned with the hotel's culinary vision.
• Work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef and culinary leaders on innovative menu items and seasonal bakery programs.
• Train, oversee, and mentor junior bakers and kitchen assistants to build a skilled team.
• Handle inventory management, sourcing ingredients, and daily production scheduling.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene, and HACCP protocols.
• Ensure bakery equipment is properly maintained for efficient operation throughout service hours.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Head Baker or Senior Baker in a luxury hotel, high-end restaurant, or premium bakery environment.
• Mastery of artisan bread-making techniques, including sourdough and laminated doughs, alongside advanced baking methods.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and manage a kitchen team effectively.
• Innovative mindset geared towards product development with unwavering attention to quality and accuracy.
• Capability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume luxury kitchen setting.
• Formal culinary or baking education preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Approximate tax-free annual package of USD 52,000, inclusive of base salary, housing, and transportation allowances.
