Overview
Working as a Grocery Associate at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to advance your expertise in retail. This role involves delivering outstanding customer service by embracing Walmart's core values, maintaining the grocery department, facilitating stock management, and assisting in sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain designated grocery sections.
- Rotate inventory while monitoring expiration dates to ensure product freshness.
- Verify all items are accurately priced and appropriately labeled.
- Comply with food safety protocols, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
- Execute proper ordering and clearance processes, including applying markdowns/upcharges and managing signage.
- Maintain full stock levels and prepare the department for daily business operations.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Handle stocking and picking items; complete down-stocks where required, ensure application of product protection, and establish modular displays including flexible modulars and new shelf caps.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.
