About the Role

This position is part of the Marketing team at the South Edmonton Corporate Head Office and reports to the Marketing Manager. The Graphic Designer will contribute design and production expertise, visual communication support, and implementation services for a broad range of internal stakeholders, including corporate teams, retail stores, external agencies, and vendors.

What You Will Do

  • Work closely with Marketing, Communications, internal clients, and agencies to make sure all creative materials align with brand standards and project needs.
  • Take ownership of creative direction for custom advertisements and design requests, turning business goals into polished, brand-consistent visual solutions.
  • Develop fresh ideas and concepts for a variety of marketing materials used in national campaigns, brand initiatives, and local store projects across print and digital channels.
  • Create graphics for the company website, social media platforms, and other online uses.
  • Show and explain design work clearly to clients and stakeholders, defending creative decisions and using feedback to improve final output.
  • Keep current with design trends, tools, and best practices, and apply that knowledge to improve creativity and innovation.
  • Prepare final artwork files for internal teams, agencies, and print suppliers.
  • Oversee the organization, use, and ongoing development of creative assets, including training and access for internal and external users.
  • Travel to meetings, conferences, or store locations when needed to support creative work.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience working professionally as a Graphic Designer.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
  • Ability to present confidently to different audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail, along with strong organization and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in a collaborative, team-based setting.
  • Strong multitasking, project management, creative thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with animation, motion graphics, and video editing would be an advantage.
