Job Overview

This opportunity is located in Hamilton, Ontario, requiring the successful candidate to work physically on-site with a non-smoking work environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Support the creation of storyboards for electronic media including multimedia, interactive digital products, and television advertising or productions.
• Engage with clients to understand and define the content and style of illustrations to effectively communicate their messages.
• Create two-dimensional and three-dimensional animations or computer-generated graphics.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Manage full production processes for printed, audio-visual, or electronic materials.
• Work closely with clients to determine the graphic style, components, and overall visual communication design.
• Choose the most fitting medium to deliver the intended visual impact and communication effectiveness.
• Develop graphic elements that fully align with client objectives.
• Draft preliminary sketches, layouts, and graphic design elements.
• Utilize pre-existing photo libraries, illustration resources, and typography guidelines.

Supervision

This role includes supervisory responsibilities over one to two team members.

Experience and Skills

• Requires 2 to less than 3 years of professional experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Reader.
• Specialized knowledge in user experience design within the retail business sector.

Work Environment and Conditions

• The position involves a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
• Work requires focused attention to detail and mostly seated tasks.
• Basic security clearance is required for this position.

Education Requirement

Applicants must hold a college, CEGEP, or equivalent diploma/certificate from a program lasting between one and two years.
