Role Overview

As a Government Relations Representative, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing productive relationships with government entities. Reporting to the Government Affairs Manager, you will oversee government-related processes and transactions crucial to protecting business interests, ensuring compliance, and maintaining smooth operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison with government and regulatory bodies such as municipalities, Civil Defense, Chambers of Commerce, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, environmental agencies, Ministry of Transport, Traffic Department, and others for regulatory adherence.
  • Manage issuance and renewal procedures for operational licenses, building permits, safety certificates, and other essential regulatory documents to support business continuity.
  • Oversee company vehicle management activities including registration, licensing, ownership transfer, renewals, and related regulatory compliances.
  • Handle coordination and follow-up on traffic violations, police or security authority cases, and additional government-related issues.
  • Work collaboratively with embassies, consulates, and relevant government offices regarding visa processes and other travel-related formalities.
  • Represent the organization in dealings with government representatives on licensing, compliance, permits, and operational challenges.
  • Ensure timely resolution of findings, violations, or requirements communicated by governing authorities.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with government officials and regulatory agencies to facilitate business operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent technical diploma.
  • Work Experience: 2 to 4 years engaged in government relations and client handling roles.

Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi government rules, protocols, and electronic service platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suited for effective relationship management with government officials and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
