Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and pragmatic leader to establish and oversee the supply chain operations for our expanding lineup of physical products. This role encompasses managing the entire process from suppliers and factories to warehouses and end customers. Key functions include procurement, manufacturing, assembly, international logistics, customs clearance, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
As a startup, we value swift decision-making, direct problem-solving, and building effective operational processes without bureaucratic delays. This position reports directly to the CEO, offering significant growth potential within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and assembly partners.
- Handle international shipments, customs processes, freight forwarding, and coordination with third-party logistics providers.
- Optimize pricing, reduce lead times, minimize minimum order quantities, and improve landed costs, inventory precision, and reliable deliveries.
- Develop backup options for critical suppliers, components, and shipping channels to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Establish transparent monitoring of inventory levels, shipment status, costs, and possible risks.
- Leverage AI tools to conduct research, analyze data, automate workflows, and enhance decision-making quality.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Significant experience in international supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or manufacturing operations.
- Hands-on, adaptable, and highly driven individual with a bias for quick action and ownership without needing detailed instructions.
- Proven track record working directly with global suppliers, factories, customs authorities, and logistics partners.
- Strong skills in negotiation, data analysis, and problem-solving.
- Comfortable integrating AI technologies into daily operational tasks.
- Fluent in professional English; Mandarin language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
- Experience with consumer hardware, electronics, wellness products, supplements, medical devices, Shopify, or multi-country fulfillment is advantageous.
- A passion for health and wellbeing and motivation to contribute to products that improve lives.
Location and Work Arrangement
The position is open for remote or hybrid work. Preference is given to candidates based in Singapore or nearby Asian time zones to facilitate frequent visits to suppliers and partners.
