Overview
The General Manager will spearhead all facets of the security services division, encompassing operations, contract oversight, client partnerships, commercial dealings, and business growth initiatives. This pivotal leadership role demands maintaining operational excellence, ensuring compliance with regulations, safeguarding profitability, and fostering client satisfaction and sustainable expansion while upholding the highest standards of security service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily security contract operations to guarantee seamless, efficient service provision.
- Deploy manpower, equipment, and resources aligned with client expectations and contractual terms.
- Formulate and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and service excellence.
- Track key performance indicators, analyze operational data, incident reports, and client feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to local laws, licensing mandates, and industry standards in all security activities.
- Lead crisis response, emergency preparedness, and conduct thorough incident investigations.
- Perform frequent site inspections, operational audits, and visits to maintain service quality.
- Optimize workforce deployment while controlling costs to maximize profitability.
- Negotiate, review, and administrate all security service contracts and SLAs, ensuring compliance and effective management of contract amendments, renewals, and pricing reviews.
- Resolve disputes and manage contractual claims in concert with legal and executive teams.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships for contract retention and partnership growth.
- Identify contract-related risks and apply mitigation measures to protect company's interests.
- Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, service packages, and terms with clients and vendors.
- Prepare and evaluate proposals, tenders, and commercial bids with comprehensive market analysis for competitively priced, profitable contracts.
- Collaborate with finance for contract profitability assessments and revenue forecasting.
- Design and implement strategic business development plans to expand market footprint and identify opportunities in government, corporate, hospitality, residential, industrial, and critical infrastructure segments.
- Network with key stakeholders and participate in industry events to enhance company visibility.
- Set and pursue annual sales objectives aligned with corporate goals.
- Lead and mentor operations managers and department heads, establish objectives, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Cultivate a cultural environment emphasizing responsibility, professionalism, safety, and superior customer service.
- Oversee manpower and succession planning including talent development.
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions to meet targets.
- Ensure invoicing and collection processes support healthy cash flows.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Security Management, Operations Management or related disciplines.
- MBA or equivalent master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in security services, with minimum 5 years in top-tier leadership roles.
- Proven track record managing extensive security operations and numerous contracts.
- Demonstrable expertise in contract handling, commercial negotiations, and business growth.
- Successful history of securing and maintaining high-value contracts.
- Experience within Qatar or the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) security sector is highly advantageous.
- Possession of valid security licenses or certifications is considered beneficial.
