Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Gardener to join our team full-time onsite in Osogbo. This position entails the maintenance and beautification of the company grounds, including lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and trees, to ensure a clean, safe, and pleasing outdoor environment. Responsibilities involve planting, weeding, pruning, mulching, mowing, and the application of fertilizers and pest control chemicals adhering to safety protocols. The gardener will operate and monitor irrigation systems, adjust watering routines, and assist with garden design enhancements. Maintaining gardening tools and ensuring the tidiness of work areas, along with collaboration with site and facilities personnel, are key aspects of this role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient practical gardening and basic landscape maintenance expertise.
• Capability to plan and execute landscaping projects and garden designs that improve outdoor aesthetics.
• Familiarity with irrigation system operations, monitoring, and basic fault correction.
• Knowledge of plant care practices, soil management, fertilizers, and safe pesticide application.
• Ability to work outdoors under various weather conditions and manage physical labor demands.
• High attention to detail, reliability, and dedication to keeping grounds orderly and well-maintained.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to function independently as well as part of a team.
• Prior experience in gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping is preferred.
• Basic understanding of health and safety protocols concerning tools, equipment, and chemicals.
