Role Overview
This full-time onsite position in Brighouse is for a fully qualified joiner to execute diverse first and second fix joinery jobs. The role encompasses installing components like doors, windows, skirting, architraves, and custom furniture across domestic, commercial, and healthcare settings. Daily duties include interpreting drawings, precise measuring and cutting, assembling installations, ensuring compliance with quality and health and safety standards, collaborating with other trades, maintaining a tidy and safe workspace, and effective site communication.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid recognized joinery or carpentry qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or similar) with proven experience.
- Proficient in first and second fix joinery tasks such as installing doors, frames, windows, skirting, architraves, and fitted units.
- Adept at reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans, with accurate measuring and cutting capabilities.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, fully aware of safe operating procedures and site safety regulations.
- Experience within domestic, commercial, or healthcare building environments emphasizing quality workmanship.
- Dependable, organized, capable of effective time management, working to schedules, and coordinating with other trades on site.
- Effective communication skills and professionalism when interacting with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
- Possession of a full driving licence and willingness to travel to various project locations around Brighouse is preferred.
