Main Duties

• Coordinate and oversee a specific kitchen section during lunch and dinner operations.
• Prepare dishes following precise standards for presentation and consistency.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies, rotating stock, and minimizing waste.
• Maintain excellent hygiene and uphold all food safety protocols, aligning with HACCP guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and the kitchen team, ensuring smooth service even during peak hours.
• Support and mentor junior chefs and other staff members as required.
• Uphold cleanliness across all kitchen areas and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Adapt to a full-time rota that covers evenings, weekends, and peak holiday shifts as the business demands.

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a professional, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Ability to manage a kitchen section independently and efficiently.
• In-depth understanding and ongoing adherence to food safety practices and kitchen hygiene regulations.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, especially under busy service conditions.
• Skilled at collaborative teamwork and possessing good communication abilities.
• Formal culinary training or certifications would enhance your application, as would menu development experience.

• This is an on-site position in Galway that requires being available for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
