Overview
OLG is looking for a student full-time front end developer to join the team in an onsite role based in Sault Ste. Marie or Toronto. This position runs through the fall term, from September to December 2026, and offers a pay range of $18.50 to $28.50.
The role supports a range of design and development activities and reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Solution Development.
What you will do
- Work with the lab team to collect and clarify business requirements.
- Review UI/UX designs to make sure they can be implemented technically.
- Partner with developers to create, improve, and maintain code that is efficient, reusable, and dependable.
- Build customer-facing features and develop reusable components and libraries for later use.
- Run unit tests to help ensure consistent performance across browsers and devices.
- Spot possible solution risks or issues and raise them with the right stakeholders.
What you should bring
- A strong interest in building and designing user interfaces and single-page applications.
- Basic understanding of coding and software development.
- Exposure to programming tools and frameworks such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Node.js, React, Vue.js, and RESTful APIs.
- Clear communication skills for working with technology and operations partners.
- Motivation to learn, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage time, priorities, and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfort working collaboratively in an agile environment.
