Role Overview

This full-time on-site position, located in Mohali district, involves managing daily freight brokerage operations. Core duties consist of sourcing carriers, rate negotiations, organizing shipment transportation, responding to client inquiries, updating shipment progress, and swiftly resolving any service concerns.

The Freight Broker also coordinates dispatch tasks, monitors freight loads, and maintains detailed company records. Additionally, the role supports account management by nurturing strong relationships with shippers and carriers, spotting new business prospects, and enhancing service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven ability in freight brokerage, including sourcing carrier services, negotiating competitive rates, and effectively managing shipment processes.
• Skilled in customer service and account management to build and sustain professional partnerships with clients and carrier networks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of transportation and logistics operations, encompassing modes of transport, routing, and industry-specific terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities, with meticulous attention to documentation accuracy.
• Comfortable utilizing computer applications and logistics software, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) or equivalent tools.
• Previous experience in freight brokerage or logistics sectors is advantageous; educational background in business, logistics, or related disciplines is beneficial.
