Role Overview

Crossing Hurdles is seeking experienced corporate finance professionals specializing in FP&A, financial modeling, and valuation to engage as freelance contractors. This remote position involves leveraging AI systems to optimize corporate finance workflows and enhance financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Convert practical corporate finance processes into well-defined AI tasks.
Assess AI-generated financial outputs for accuracy, reasoning, and business applicability.
Handle use cases including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, valuation, and performance assessment.
Detect gaps, edge cases, and potential failure points in model outcomes.
Document financial assumptions, logic, and decisions clearly and comprehensively.
Offer structured feedback to refine AI effectiveness and outputs.

Required Qualifications

At least five years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, investment analysis, or consulting roles.
Current, hands-on experience with financial modeling techniques, including DCF and comparable company analyses, budgeting, or forecasting.
Strong understanding of financial statements, underlying business drivers, and frameworks for decision-making.
Attentive to details with the capacity to analyze complex financial situations thoroughly.
Self-motivated and adept at working independently in dynamic, remote work environments.

Work Style & Expectations

Primarily asynchronous work schedule allowing flexible hours.
Limited mandatory meetings, mostly optional office hours.
Collaboration and task coordination through Slack and internal platforms.
Candidates must finish onboarding and establish communication within 24 hours post-offer.

Terms and Compensation

Employment as a freelance contractor (1099) with a remote work setup.
Compensation ranges between 100 and 125 USD per hour.
Minimum commitment of 10 hours weekly, preferably between 15 to 20 hours, depending on availability and interest.
Immediate start with expedited onboarding process within 24 hours.
