Foodservice Worker

About the Role

Join our team as a Foodservice Worker where you will play a vital role in preparing and serving meals to students and staff in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals following established recipes, production guidelines, and food safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the kitchen and service areas.
• Restock serving lines, salad bars, and milk storage units efficiently.
• Follow proper food storage, rotation, and sanitation procedures to ensure quality and safety.
• Provide courteous meal service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing inventory as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
• Adhere to local, state, federal, and organizational health and safety standards.
• Support team members by covering shifts or assisting during busy times.
• Complete required reports and meet set deadlines.
• Carry out additional tasks to support kitchen operations and school meal programs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience in food service or cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and collaborates well with others.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks and maintain adherence to routine procedures.
• Possesses basic math and computer literacy skills.
• Must successfully pass a background check and fingerprint screening.
• Reliable transportation is necessary to commute to the job site.
• Enjoys working with children and contributing to a school community atmosphere.
• Exemplifies respect, inclusivity, and professionalism with colleagues and customers alike.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Ability to remain standing throughout the entire work shift.
• Capability to occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable with frequent bending, reaching, walking, and manual tasks.
• Work environment typically includes moderate noise and a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen setting.
• Work schedule is full-time Monday through Friday, with some weeks potentially requiring extended hours.
• Participation in company meetings and events may occasionally be required.
