Food Services Supervisor

About the Position

The Food Services Supervisor is tasked with ensuring seamless teamwork among staff to deliver outstanding guest service. Responsibilities include overseeing staff grooming and attire standards, executing opening and closing procedures such as preparing supplies and cleaning equipment, as well as inspecting storage areas for orderliness and hygiene with adherence to FIFO protocols. The role involves conducting inventory checks, requisitioning supplies, monitoring dining room operations for guest comfort and safety, and managing maintenance requests.

Key Duties

• Support management in recruitment, training, scheduling, performance reviews, counseling, disciplinary actions, coaching, and motivate team members.
• Act as a role model and serve as first contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy processes.
• Adhere to and enforce company safety and security measures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, protect company assets.
• Greet guests warmly by company standards, anticipate and fulfill service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and effectively; nurture positive team relationships and respond attentively to employee concerns.
• Work towards maintaining quality standards and strive for improvements in operational efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost reduction.
• Perform physical tasks including prolonged standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
• Carry out any additional reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A minimum of 2 years in a related role with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
