Flight Dispatch Trainee

Role summary

This position is designed to provide hands-on training in flight dispatch operations. Working under the guidance of seasoned dispatch professionals, the trainee will build practical knowledge of dispatch processes, strengthen operational understanding, and develop the capabilities needed to contribute to safe and efficient flight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in structured, supervised training across flight dispatch activities.
• Coordinate with Meteorological and Air Traffic Services offices to help keep dispatch processes moving smoothly and to support timely sharing of operational updates.
• Assist dispatchers by collecting, checking, and supplying operational information from internal teams, web-based tools, and operational reports.
• Join familiarization sessions across Network Control Centre functions to gain a broader view of NCC workflows and how departments interact.
• Provide administrative and operational assistance to the Network Control Centre team as needed based on workload and operational priorities.
• Support dispatch-focused projects and initiatives by completing assigned tasks under supervision.
• Carry out additional dispatch duties as directed to build foundational experience in flight dispatch.
• Follow company rules, operating procedures, and safety requirements throughout training and day-to-day work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Fluency in English
• 0 to 2 years of experience, with or without qualifications where applicable

Information security requirements

The selected candidate must comply with the company’s ISR policies, report any vulnerabilities or incidents to the relevant line manager or information security team, complete all required ISR awareness training, and apply the related guidelines in everyday business operations.
